This thing happens to me. I used to let it overwhelm me, now I look forward to what it will manifest into. I never know how long it will last and I can't always tell when it's coming, but it looks like this...

But, there is one I want to talk about today. 

It breaks his state. Triggers us both to think. He doesn't argue with me, and I don't discount his words. We just take a moment and let it soak in.

Parenting is full of rough waters, but for me one of the most emotionally challenging things to navigate is the pull between financial stress and family fun.

I stepped out of my comfort zone last December when I submitted something I wrote to Mothering Magazine. Yesterday it was published, and my comfort zone was blown out of the water. In the face of adversity I didn't just survive I thrived.
