Amanda Kingsley Life Coach

Let’s pretend we’re sipping tea together,
on the phone,
or taking a stroll out in the fresh air.

Now that you know that I believe in you,
I care about you,
and I want things to get easier for you,
what are you willing to believe about each of the ten thoughts you just wrote down?

Ask yourself:

-”What would Amanda say about this thought?”

-and or, “What might she offer as a possible thing to believe instead?”

It’s okay if this feels hard.
Nothing has gone wrong.

Your brain just isn’t used to shifting its perspective
the way I’m encouraging you to do.

You can:

Or see if this example helps:

When I found out about my unplanned pregnancy in 2017,
and later chose to abort, it was the hardest thing I’d ever done.
I knew I made the right choice,
but I was feeling so many feelings around the experience.

One of the thoughts I had a lot was, “I’ll never be the same.”

Had I been asked to do this exercise after my abortion
I would have shifted my perspective to something like,
“I can do hard things;
they show me how strong I am,
and today I am stronger than I was before my unplanned pregnancy.”
